2 Dublin dudes, banging out bagels ...

When the pandemic struck Ben and Jack, two artists who also worked in restaurants were suddenly out of a job. Both decided that when the pandemic ended they didn’t want to go back to working in a restaurant for someone else so they decided to start their own business. When they decided to open a food truck it was less about what they wanted to do but more about what they thought Dublin needed… Bagels!

Both Ben and Jack had developed a love of bagels from their travels to New York and London and thought the time was right to share that love with the people of Dublin and beyond! Oh and of course what can you not have a bagel without? Coffee! They went down to the docks and struck a bargain for a used shipping container. After converting “The Mothership” into a kitchen and coffee truck it was time to set sail for her first berth: Balydoyle. After a great year where we made a lot of friends it was time to set sail for Stoneybatter.

Having settled in what was once part of Dublin’s historic cattle market the guys feel right at home. Dublin 7 hasn’t been the same since.
